On-set tech & IT

The tech problems that stop a shoot, solved

Beyond DIT and QTake, I know the IT side of a film set: networking cameras, controlling them wirelessly and keeping every device on set talking to each other. I've shared those solutions with the whole industry.

NETWORK

Camera networking

Cameras, monitors, QTake and laptops on one reliable network, wired or wireless, so control and feeds stay solid all day.

WIRELESS

Wireless camera control

Control and monitor cameras remotely from a phone, tablet or laptop, set up quickly and without lag.

IT

On-set IT solutions

Record triggers, intercom pairing, drives, cards and connections: the problems that hold up a shoot, fixed on the spot.

Meet Umair

I've spent 6 years on set in Dubai, the last 4 as DIT, on the biggest commercials and productions that come through the region. Directors and DOPs across the Middle East know my name, and I've worked on shoots in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Directors and DPs from Europe and America ask for me when they shoot here. We've done many shoots together, and they keep coming back.

On set I cover everything a production needs from its DIT: data, looks, QC, dailies, QTake, live streaming and the handover to post.
